New York Preperations

New York Preperations

So, one day in the Big Apple and I seem to have been on my feet all day and been all over the city and the walk hasn’t even started yet. I met James, my cameraman, at 7.45am and we grabbed some breakfast, before we could enjoy our hero sandwiches I got a call from South Africa radio station, SAfm to have my interview. I am trying to get the Podcast for it so I can upload it to the site.

The interview went well and we then went into NYC. We had some admin stuff to do and get some more equipment. We then headed to Grand Central Station to get some more shots. Things started to pick up a little and we really got into the swing of filimg in the city. We should have an edit done of the preperation days and by monday evening and get it uploaded. Tomorrow I pick up the RV and will have my home for the next three months. I can’t wait…. Gonna be so nice to be settled.

There is another written interview in the Village Voice, New York’s coolest newspaper. I met the Editor In Chief, Tony Ortega, last night when I arrived and he said he would tweet about me and low and behold I get a full article. A great place to have my first official US media coverage.

Oh, and I have to give a huge shout out to the NYC police officers who were astounded by my walk and wished me all the best!
