23 Jan First Week of Training
Well week 1 is out the way and although my feet hurt, they are not my only worry. After walking 20 miles last Sunday and travelling to work, 6 miles, by foot 4 days this week, blisters, although painful are not the only thing that has hindered my walking. First and foremost is, apologies if you are eating, chafeage. It is an absolute killer. Honestly when I was walking to work on Tuesday I thought I was going to have to stop. Subsequently I have been looking into what they call ‘glide gel’, It helps apparently. The other is the poor choice of footwear I have chosen. Although a major brand trainer, they are not designed for what I am doing so I will be off to the London Marathon Store tomorrow to get all my tests done so I can get the perfect trainer. Aside from that, the rest of my body is keeping up pretty well. Annoyed I can’t train again this weekend but been busy with the promotion of the walk and the development of PR.
