And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain

I’ve lived a life that’s full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I’ve had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes it was my way

    I am so proud of you and really sad I am not there to give you a great big bear hug, but I am with you in spirit.We all believed in you, but there DEFINITELY times when we thought you had bitten off more than you could chew, but you stood tall, faced it all and did it your way!

    So proud to have been there to watch you come over the top of the hill,flags flying and with a police escort! Maurice and I have been with you every step, knowing that your determination, your stamina and your sheer bloody mindedness would see you through but even so that moment when I knew you had done it was the proudest moment.     Jon, I have just got caught upon all your blogs from the 7/20/11. I see you only have 4 days left this is totally awesome. I will be with you in spirit when you cross that finish line you are the man.  I knew you had the determination to accomplish this long adventure for the children of our country. You have now giving them hope and that they can do anything as long as you give it 110%.  They now have you as a great roll model to look up to.  Jon I don’t know if you have been in touch with any one on the video that we did in Lincoln IL.  If not please get a hold of me so I can get this to you as soon as possible. I was hoping top get it for you before you end your journey.
