St. Louis

I woke up to the such a good view. Out my hotel window was the Gateway Arch. It is huge and dominates the St. Louis skyline and was just perfectly reflecting the morning sun. After a huge breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, more boiled eggs, yoghurt and fruit juice, obviously not all together, but still a feast, I headed straight for the pool. It was great to just float for a while. Anyway after a massage from Helen, Dad and I went into the city to just wander, get some lunch and just relax.

The Cardinals

It was a great game. Such a good way to experience a city. I had to leave early due to the early rise tomorrow but Ali & Helen have stayed to give me a full account of the game. They are currently in the 11th innings, that is an extra two already! Cardinals were winning when i left  so I felt I would leave on a high just after seeing my first home run. A great crowd of people and thanks to all the people around us who told us what was going on. I just figured, clap when others clap, cheers when others cheer and boo when others boo! All in a pretty successful tactic. Had a great evening, ate a hotdog to get in the spirit of it but unfortunately didn’t have a beer. Only two more months to go!

Day Off

Sorry for the short blog but with a day off it hasn’t been too eventful. A nice relaxing day. Back to the grind for two days and then another day off as Jen, my girlfriend is coming to St. Louis. Can’t wait. I am hoping the weather stays this good and we have another great St. Louis experience.

    A well deserved rest Beebs! And don’t listen to Vicky – the beard stands testament to the distance you’ve walked – keep it!! One thing tho – not sure whether it’s the light in the photo but it looks to me like you might need to start wearing stronger sun cream!! Keep it up mate.. V proud of you and I’ve been telling all my mates about your epic adventure!!x
